{"id":496,"date":"2018-08-28T08:45:39","date_gmt":"2018-08-28T12:45:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mi-alma.org\/?p=496"},"modified":"2018-08-28T08:45:39","modified_gmt":"2018-08-28T12:45:39","slug":"2018-statewide-hispanic-heritage-month-celebration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mi-alma.org\/2018-statewide-hispanic-heritage-month-celebration\/","title":{"rendered":"2018 Statewide Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>ANNUAL STATEWIDE HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH CELEBRATION 2018\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Hispanic\/Latino Commission of Michigan (HLCOM) and the Hispanic Heritage Month Planning Committee are excited to announce that for the first time, we will be hosting our annual Statewide Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration event in Saginaw, MI on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Horizon Center from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s theme is \u201cCelebrating our Heritage.\u201d The annual Statewide Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration is an excellent event where we honor leaders from our community. We also celebrate accomplishments and our diverse cultures. This event is unique because it pulls people together from across the state. The celebration&#8217;s MC this year will be Q-TV&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Somos Hispanos<\/em>\u00a0host Nina Hageness (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.deltabroadcasting.org\/somoshispanos\/#.W3sqbeSWzcu\">click here for more information<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The celebration begins with a networking reception, elegant dinner, and keynote address.\u00a0Appreciation awards will be presented to six community leaders (from around the state) who have made outstanding contributions to the Hispanic\/Latino community in Michigan.
